Ever had a Spiritual Haircut?
Probably not…lucky you.
I did, and all I can say is that if Seinfeld was still on, I could have sold this episode in a second.
I’m assuming you might want to know what the heck a Spiritual Haircut is right? Glad you asked.
If you want to hear all about it (come on, you you know you want to), then listen to the radio interview below on Welcome Changes Radio with Velma, “The Queen of Joy”…(she’s nuts like me.)
There’s a lot of other cool wisdom and stories to be had as well, so check it out.
The Spiritual Haircut can be Chalked up to just another one of my crazy “Self Help Hell” experiences from “The Mad Spiritual Guy” on the road to finding purpose and enlightenment. Not sure I found it, but I found some good comedy material, so I got that going for me.
This comes from a long list of other crazy adventures that I’ve been on like being Rolfed by a Man with Large Hands, Walking on Fire, Eating Fire, and Pooping Fire (that’s what happens when you eat it, just sayin’), Bending Spoons with my Mind, Meeting a guy named Cinnamon who kept saying, “I’m NOT your daddy”, and one of my favorites, being pursued as a client by a “Suicidal Life Coach”…pretty sure that would have been totally HOT if I wanted to get coached on how to kill myself…always good to know you can find experts for anything on the internets when you need it.
Imagine The Ad:
“Suicidal Life Coach Teaches You How to Leave Your Human Suit in 3 easy steps, AND that’s not all, as a bonus if you buy today and die tomorrow, I’ll throw in a video on 5 different ways that YOU can choose to exit the planet YOUR WAY, and we’ll even throw in Frank Sinatra’s song “I Did It My Way” that you can play while taking yourself out…come on, let’s get creative.”
*(this video is not sold in stores, and must be paid for before you hang yourself.)
The Spiritual Haircut experience is no doubt one of favorite scenes in my upcoming book, film, and One Man show. (Do you hear me HBO and Comedy Central?)
It’s tough to do this justice without a visual experience like you would see in a film or TV sketch, but you’ll get the idea, trust me, it’s worth the listen, plus you get the benefit of laughing at me and my strange world, as well as saving yourself from future pain.
I could in fact be one of the only (crazies) on the entire planet who had a Spiritual Haircut before this chick unzipped and went back to Pluto, so that’s pretty cool.
I thought it was time to start sharing more of the real life Shenanigans as I step deeper into my true voice and calling. You might have noticed that I like to play AND find something to laugh about as much as possible, (and believe me, there’s ALWAYS something funny in just about any situation), all while sharing the underlying wisdom…and yes sometimes just the laugh is good enough.
I love helping people find their authentic voices, (do something with it), and learn how to play more, it’s one of my favorite things to do.
We all know that there are WAY too many people on the planet who are (Sheepwalkers.) They’re not being real, they’re not fully alive or expressing who they really are, they’re wearing a mask and walking around like the waking dead, AND not having any frickin’ fun. This is NOT a good thing, I know you wouldn’t do that now would you????
We want to help those peeps, it starts with showing them other people living their passions and dreams as well as having fun AND yes you can still make all the cash you want doing what you love, so join the party, no excuses.
Remember, we DON’T need more Posers in the world, we DO need more people who are on fire, filled with passion, who are being authentic and real…and as always, having a wicked sense of humor DOESN”T hurt.
Keep saying this mantra over and over:
Just do You.
Just do You.
Just Do Me (OK, that one sounds weird, but you get the point)
Enjoy, and please leave your comments and Retweet, post to Facebook, your blog, wherever you think more crazy people who want to get real AND lighten up might be excited!
Lots more to come!
And if you haven’t signed up for the enews so I can keep in touch with you, what the heck are you waiting for?

Yesssss. Great interview with my favorite “Mad Spiritual Guy” on what it truly means to be an infinite being schlepping around this human suit of ours, and recognizing both the pain that comes with personal growth and also the downright comedy of it all.
This interview is a lot of fun and enlightening at the same time. You’re gonna love the spiritual haircut.

@Steven you rock brother, I never heard of a Spiritual Haircut either, but I lived it (and was able to tell about it)…I have a whole big list of these crazies that I’ll be sharing over time, I can’t wait to put them into a movie, super excited for that one.
@Johnny You are such a great support, thanks for your kind words as always my friend.
@Mona, thanks for your good energy and comment.
@Debbie, I appreciate you, and I KNOW you have a wicked sense of humor, keep shining.
Hey Scott…I am amazed and amused especially with the story of the “haircut” (I am sure if I took the time to visualize it further I would bust out laughing) but also with the reason behind the spiritual haircut…mainly because it is such a pattern for people…that is…the constant “religious” or “spiritual” activity to get something good to happen.
I don’t know if you read the Bible much but there is quite a humorous part in the Old Testament where Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal to a contest. There were 450 prophets of Baal against Elijah.
Here was the contest: they were to choose a bull to sacrifice, create an altar for the bull and then call down fire from heaven to consume the sacrificed bull in flames. (This is the part that reminds me of your stories of searching, the antics of this gal and what so many of us have tried though much of life)… The prophets of Baal choose their bull, make their altar, surround their altar and started calling up to the heavens (to Baal is what is understood) to have fire come down and consume the sacrifice. It doesn’t work…so they start chanting. It doesn’t work…so they dance (I’m sure their dancing was a sight to behold)…well of course it doesn’t work.
Elijah comes out to them to have some fun with these guys. Elijah always comes across as a grump but I think he had a great sense of humor. So he shouts to them: “perhaps he is deep in thought, or traveling, or sleeping, (or my favorite) or going to the toilet…” He is just egging them on already amused at their antics of religious fervor perhaps thinking that they would see the ridiculousness of their actions…but they don’t. They simply get more intense with their dancing, they cut and slash themselves and I am sure engage in all sorts of interesting behavior all in the “religious” attempt to get something to happen.
I crack up every time I try to visualize this. Anyhow your interview reminded me of this story. All of the things we try to create something good to happen in our lives or to curry favor with someone else…where do they get us in the end but tired and hopefully a bit amused at out own antics? Fortunately though in our fatigue we have the chance to start thinking that there has got to be a better way and that is where we learn that all of the “religious” or “spiritual” activity is not the answer.
I am not here to share any answers, it is not my blog and not my place here anyhow, that is your territory my friend…but just thought I would share just a bit of my thoughts from listening to your interview…I very much enjoyed it and had a few chuckles along the way.

OMG Scott you are too funny!
Wondering if the suicidal life coach (love that one…) takes checks and credit cards, or is it a cash and carry business?
Thanks for the laughs and wisdom
